The LD2000 addresses this post-installation realisation without requiring replacement of the existing lock. It retrofits directly behind the existing Lockey Digital keypad, preserving all the combination functionality while adding a backup cylinder that can be operated with a physical key.
Compatible Lockey Digital Models
The LD2000 retrofit is engineered specifically for the Lockey Digital 2000 series range. Compatible models include the knob-operated 2210, 2430, 2435, and 2430DS (double-sided variant), alongside the lever-handle 2835 and 2835DS (double-sided variant). Both single-sided and double-sided configurations can be retrofitted — for double-sided installations on external gates, the LD2000 can be fitted on one or both sides depending on whether the key override is required from the inside, outside, or both.
Cylinders can be supplied keyed alike across multiple locks in the same property (useful for facilities with several access points) or keyed different (standard for installations where access control granularity matters). Specifiers working on multi-door projects should confirm the keying strategy at order stage to avoid post-installation key-matching complications.
Installation and Ordering
Because the LD2000 fits behind the existing keypad, no additional cut-outs, drilling, or hardware modification is required on the door or gate itself. The existing Lockey keypad unscrews, the LD2000 cylinder assembly mounts in position, and the keypad reattaches over the top. The entire retrofit typically takes less than ten minutes per lock for anyone comfortable with basic hardware adjustment. For installations where a key override was not specified at original order, the LD2000 is available as a standalone accessory for existing Lockey locks, and as a bundled option alongside new Lockey Digital 2000 series orders.
